Historic Shankill

Free Guided Walk

Tuesdays at 7pm August 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th and September 1st & 8th

The present village of Shankill is not actually in Shankill, but in Shanganagh. How did this happen and where was the original medieval village of Shankill? This walk helps to answer these questions, as well as examining the ancient village of Shanganagh and its mill and the planned village of Tillystown, as well as the castles, railways, big houses and roads of the Shankill area.
